Name: Consideration of a Resolution accepting a grant of $5,000 from the Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea for the Ocean Avenue median light installation.

Description: The City received a $5,000 grant from the Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea through the Community Foundation for Monterey County. The purpose of the grant is to help fund the Ocean Avenue median light installation project.

Staff Recommendation: Approve the Resolution accepting the grant of $5,000 from the Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea to help with costs associated with the Ocean Avenue median light installation.

Important Considerations: City Policy C91-01 states that the City Council has the final responsibility for the distribution and allocation of all grant appropriations.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA ACCEPTING A GRANT OF $5,000 FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA FOR THE OCEAN AVENUE MEDIAN LIGHT INSTALLATION

WHEREAS, the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea received a grant of $5,000 from Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea through the Community Foundation for Monterey County; and

WHEREAS, the grant is to be used to for the Ocean Avenue median light installation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA DOES:

1. Accept with gratitude the grant of $5,000 from the Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea through the Community Foundation for Monterey County for deposit to Account 01-82055 (Community Activities).

2. Direct the Mayor to send a letter of thanks to the Rotary Club of Carmel-by-the-Sea for its generous support.
