Matters not appearing on the Community Activities & Cultural Commission agenda will not receive action at this meeting. Presentations will be limited to three minutes, or as established by the Community Activities & Cultural Commission.

I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Commission Members Klaumann, Dixon, Jett & Jones
ABSENT: None
LATE: Jones, 9:38 a.m.


STAFF PRESENT: Christie Miller, Community Services Director
Cindi Lopez, Community Services Assistant

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Members of the audience joined Commission Members in the pledge of allegiance.

IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner JETT moved ratification of the minutes from the November 13, 2007, meeting, seconded by Commissioner DIXON and carried by the following roll call vote:

AYES: KLAUMANN, DIXON, JETT, KOHRS
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: JONES
ABSTAIN: NONE

V. ORDERS OF BUSINESS

A. Elect Chair and Vice Chair

A motion was brought by Commissioner JETT, seconded by Commissioner KOHRS to elect Commissioner KLAUMANN as Chair and Commissioner JETT as Vice-Chair of the Community Activities & Cultural Commission.

VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CHAIR AND/OR COMMISSIONERS

A Due to the Holiday, Lincoln’s Birthday, the February meeting originally scheduled for February 12, 2008 has been cancelled.

VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR
 Forest Theater and Vista Lobos all things are status quo.
 37th Annual Homecrafters’ Marketplace was a success.
 The November 30, 2007 tree lighting ceremony was a success.
 The 2008 Rio Resolution Run was a success.
 Review and discussion of the 2008 Special Event calendar
 Permits Pending-None

A. Review Goals and Objectives for 2008
B. Due to the February 12, 2008, holiday, Lincoln’s Birthday the February meeting is cancelled.

IX. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the Commission, Commissioner
