Matters not appearing on the Community Activities & Cultural Commission agenda will not receive action at this meeting. Presentation will be limited to three minutes, or as established by the Community Activities & Cultural Commission.

II. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Commission Members Klaumann, Jett, Dixon & Rachel
ABSENT: Kohrs
STAFF PRESENT: Heidi Burch, Asst. City Administrator/Interim Director
Cindi Lopez, Community Services Assistant

III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Members of the audience joined Commission Members in the pledge of allegiance.

V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner RACHEL moved ratification of the minutes from the June 10, 2008, meeting, seconded by Commissioner DIXON and carried by the following roll call vote:

AYES: KLAUMANN, JETT, DIXON, RACHEL
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: KOHRS
ABSTAIN: NONE

VI. ORDERS OF BUSINESS

A. CANCELLATION OF AUGUST 12, 2008 MEETING; MOVE NOVEMBER 11, 2008 MEETING TO NOVEMBER 18, 2008.

Commission DIXON moved that the August 12, 2008 meeting be cancelled due to Car Week; and that the November 11, 2008 meeting be continued to November 18, 2008, seconded by Commissioner JETT and carried by the following roll call vote:

AYES: NONE
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: KOHRS
ABSTAIN: NONE

B. Discuss moving date and time of current Community Activities & Cultural Commission meetings.

Following discussion, it was agreed by unanimous vote of the Commissioners that the Community Activities & Cultural Commission meetings stay on calendar as currently noticed; the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 A.M.

VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CHAIR AND/OR COMMISSIONERS

A. A recap of the July 4, 2008, celebration in Devendorf Park was discussed and was agreed that the function was a great success.
