Anyone wishing to address the Commission on items within its jurisdiction may do so now. Please rise, state your name and the matter on which you wish to speak. Matters not appearing on the Community Activities & Cultural Commission agenda will not receive action at this meeting. Presentation will be limited to three minutes, or as established by the Community Activities & Cultural Commission.

DECEMBER 9, 2008
I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Commission Members Klaumann, Dixon, Kohrs, Rachel
ABSENT: Commission Member Jett
STAFF PRESENT: Heidi Burch, City Administrator/Interim Director
Leslie Fenton, Administrative Coordinator
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Members of the audience joined Commission Members in the pledge of allegiance.
III. APPEARANCES
None
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner RACHEL moved ratification of the minutes from the November 18, 2008, meeting, seconded by Commissioner DIXON and carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: KLAUMANN, DIXON, KOHRS, RACHEL
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: JETT
ABSTAIN: NONE
V. ORDERS OF BUSINESS
None
VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CHAIR AND/OR COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Klaumann announced that the Carmel Mission Trail Lion’s Club will be holding Breakfast with Santa Claus on Saturday, December 20th, 2008, at the Carmel Youth Center from 8:30 am – noon. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children.
VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR
1. Vista Lobos – Cindi has completed reviewing the User Group contracts and the topic of fees will be discussed at the January meeting.
2. Forest Theater – renovation status report was given at December City Council meeting. If interested in seeing the design plans, contact Heidi.
3. Holiday Tree Lighting – comment made that all the speakers face the north side of Ocean Ave, those standing on the south side of Ocean Ave. are not able to hear what is going on. Could a set of speakers face the south side.
VIII. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
1. Election of Officers.
2. Homecrafters and Holiday Tree Lighting recaps.
3. List of 2009 meeting dates.
4. Vista Lobos fees.
