Name: Consideration of a Resolution adopting certain revisions to the fiscal year 2011-12 budget.

Description: Based on analysis of the year-to-date revenues and expenditures, staff recommends increases to the fiscal year 2011-2012 budget in the amount of $413,000 per the attached Exhibit "A".

Staff Recommendation: Approve the fiscal year 2011-2012 budget adjustments.

Important Considerations: The City Administrator shall have the right to approve the transfer of appropriations within a departmental budget; however, no additional positions shall be created without the authorization of the City Council. All transfers of appropriations between departments or in regards to capital items or projects shall be approved by City Council (CMC 3.06.030).

Decision Record: Previous Resolution 2011-32, dated June 21, 2011, approved the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012. Resolution 2011-57, dated October 4, 2011, amended the budget relating to ambulance services. Resolution 2012-14, dated March 6, 2012, approved the budget amendment requests 1112-01 through 1112-04.

RESOLUTION 2012-

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA ADOPTING REVISIONS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2011-2012 BUDGET

WHEREAS, the City Council approved the City Budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 by Resolution 2011-32 dated June 21, 2011; and

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 2011-57 dated October 4, 2011 and Resolution 2012-14 dated March 6, 2012 amending the adopted budget; and

WHEREAS, adjustments are need for the Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Budget based on the actual and estimated sources and uses; and

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2011-2012 budget adjustments include adjustments totaling $413,000 per the attached schedule, Exhibit A.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA DOES:

1. Approve adjustments to revenues and expenditures for the Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Budget, per the attached schedule Exhibit A.

2. Adjust the total Fiscal Year 2011-2012 annual budget appropriation to $14,589,612.
