Matters not appearing on the Community Activities & Cultural Commission agenda will not receive action at this meeting. Presentation will be limited to three minutes, or as established by the Community Activities & Cultural Commission.

I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Commission Members Klaumann, Jett, Dixon, Rachel, Kohrs
ABSENT: NONE
STAFF PRESENT: Heidi Burch, Assistant City Administrator
Cindi Lopez-Frincke, Community Services Assistant
Sarah Gunter, Community Services Assistant

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Members of the audience joined Commission Members in the pledge of allegiance.

III. APPEARANCES

None.

IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner KOHRS moved ratification of the minutes from the February 8, 2011 meeting seconded by Commissioner RACHEL and carried by the following roll call vote:

AYES: KLAUMANN, JETT, RACHEL, KOHRS
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: DIXON (arrived late)
ABSTAIN: NONE

V. ORDERS OF BUSINESS

A. Further Review of Special Event Permit

Community Services Assistant Lopez-Frincke presented the amended special event permit making it more user friendly. A motion was made by Commissioner RACHEL to approve the permit as presented and seconded by Commissioner KOHRS.

After discussion the Commission unanimously agreed to the new Special Event form.

B. Review and Discuss Volunteer List

The Commissioners review the volunteer list presented and suggested some changes to the format be made and returned for presentation at the April Community Activities & Cultural Commission meeting.

C. Tour of Vista Lobos – at completion of meeting

Following adjournment of the meeting the Commissioners, Lopez-Frincke and Gunter visited Vista Lobos and suggestions were made on how to encourage users to keep the room clean.
