Matters not appearing on the Community Activities & Cultural Commission agenda will not receive action at this meeting. Presentation will be limited to three minutes, or as established by the Community Activities & Cultural Commission.

IV. Approval of minutes for the meeting of September 9, 2008.

A. Presentation from Denise Swift/Carmel Christmas Dog Parage
10/10/08-Received e-mail advising that they are not proceeding with the parade.

V. Orders of Business
A. Review of New Budget, Rich Guillen and Joyce Guiffre (continued from September 9, 2008, meeting.

B. Discuss room rate increase and marketing of Vista Lobos Complex

C. Discuss term expiration dates with current commissioners.

Members of the audience joined Commission Members in the pledge of allegiance.

IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner DIXON moved ratification of the minutes from the September 9, 2008, meeting, seconded by Commissioner RACHEL and carried by the following roll call vote:

AYES: KLAUMANN, JETT, KOHRS, RACHEL, DIXON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
ABSTAIN: NONE

V. ORDERS OF BUSINESS

A. CITY ADMINISTRATOR, RICH GUILLEN, PRESENTED THE CITY OF CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE TRIENNIAL BUDGET FY 2008/2009 THROUGH 2010/2011.

B. Reappointment of Commissioners Donna Jett and Ruth Rachel was announced. Terms are as follows: Klaumann 2010; Dixon 2010; Korhs 2011; Jett 2012 and Rachel 2012
